I don’t talk about this often, but here’s the truth:

I’m a retired Marine Corps Major and disabled veteran (DAV) with 20 years of service — and I live with PTSD from the First Gulf War. Honestly, teaching high school math for years probably didn’t help either.

It’s taken me time to find what works, but I’ve built a daily wellness routine that’s helped me feel more grounded, energized, and rested — finally.

Here’s what’s working for me:

✅ A daily commitment to health — 30-40 minutes of cardio every day and strength training 3 days a week
✅ A nutrient-rich diet with quality supplements that support mood, focus, and total health*
✅ A morning and evening routine where I review affirmations and my personal “chief aim”
✅ Evening wind-down includes reading, reflection, and a supportive conversation with my wife about the day’s triggers
✅ Sleep support includes a calming routine with a warm glass of tea and targeted products before bed*
✅ I keep a dream journal to process recurring nightmares — this has helped me regain peaceful nights
✅ Afternoon naps are a non-negotiable between 3–5 PM — they help reset my mind and body
✅ Evening cardio after dinner clears my mind and supports quality rest

I’ve tried a lot of over-the-counter options in the past, but I’ve found better consistency with wellness products from a store I trust. These support my energy, rest, and mental clarity in a way that works for me.

My message to fellow veterans and anyone living with stress or sleep challenges: build a routine that supports you — physically, emotionally, and mentally. Mine took over a year of experimenting, but it was worth it.
